Maya Animation Basic Midterm

Fixed some problems in the animation before turning my work in. Specially, slowing down the pingpong ball, making all three balls hit the ground in unison, and fixing the roll on the first ball.

Bouncy ball with Ponytail

Secondary Action assignment. First is just practice for getting the ponytail to follow correctly.

Then we had to make the ball act a little before jumping off a diving board. Please ignore the fact that the diving board isn't reacting to the movements of the ball....

More Bouncing Balls

Now we are working on animating different types of bouncing balls. I just threw my three different balls in the same file so they aren't starting at the same height or falling at the same rate as they should be! I'll fix that later and change the sizes of the balls as well. From left to right they are a beach ball, a bowling ball and a pingpong ball.

Character Designs: Veronica Street II

I decided to take pictures of these on a high quality downshooter. Wish I could get a large scan because this causes the images to appear yellow and they lose the blue of my pencil.
First up is Billy and Tyler again. Tyler has correction lines on him from Will Weston.

Next is Veronica, the girl Billy is madly in love with. She was fun to design. I looked at Silver's art for inspiration.

This girl is briefly in the storyboards to delude the audience. She was designed for the story I was originally going to board, but I couldn't pull the plot together. But her design was used in Veronica Street.

This guy isn't in Veronica Street, but for the other story I mentioned before. I didn't like his design much...

Brittney Lee Inspired

For Pre-thesis class, an assignment was to make an image in the style of an artist who inspires you. I chose Brittney Lee. I love her paper craft but didn't have time to find the paper at a store.

Bounce Bounce

This semester we're learning how to animate in Maya. (Last semester was an introduction to modeling and things like constraints.) And of course we started with a bouncing ball.
